Hello,

Could anyone advice me good books regarding SEM?

It does not matter if it is an overall view, tactics etc.

I am new in this field and i need to read myself into SEM.

I personally have found Planet Ocean's The Unfair Advantage Book To Winning The Search Engine Wars (yes, that's really it's title) extremely helpful over the years. Their articles are insightful and extremely well written (they really teach you how to properly optimize your site and run pay-per-click ad campaigns, and more...). The book is actually only one element of what you buy. You also get a monthly newsletter and access to their archives of all past newsletters (a really valuable asset!). Also, they update the book each month to make sure that it stays current. My only criticism is that sometimes the articles are a bit long, on the other hand they are enjoyable to read (I guess you can't always have it both ways). The cost is (I believe) $97 for a six months subscription to the book and newsletter (i.e., you only have access to the book for six months). It might seem a bit expensive, but in my opinion it is worth every penny.

Another book that I have heard is good (and I am planning on reading soon) is seobook. You can read a discussion about it in this forum here
