Conversion Rate Ratio for Healthcare Software Campaigns

Hi all,
One of my clients is from Healthcare Software Industry (Building tools if their client wants). They like to start a PPC campaign in major search engines. But before starting that I want to know an information
1. How much conversion rate will I get in this industry if my landing page, ad copy, keywords all are well targeted? I want to know only the approximate value. Thanks

You have to grab a good analytics program and constantly test but overall you should be looking at about 1-2% conversion as a decent number if there is spending involved... free stuff can convert a lot higher.

Do you have a ratio for their current conversions from seo? Paid Search should be a little higher due to it being more targeted. If you do not have a current conversion ratio, it will be very hard to estimate because there are too many variables.

Paid search and seo will get customers to the site, but if the site is not appealing, has no call to action, poor navigation, too many clicks to buy, etc... this will all effect the conversion ratio.
You can estimate traffic, but estimating conversions will be much tougher.

There is always the possibility your organic is doing a better job with natural placement of keywords - check your log files or analytic tools.....
If you have not checked this there maybe some words to add to the PPC campaign
