Unhappy visitor count still low

i maintain a site shopadf.com. The site went live last year and have been linkbuilding and optomizing the site for 5 months now. I am showing up in MSN, Yahoo and very slightly in Google. I am in the process of marketing our affiliate program. Have not gone to CPC yet on any SE's. Everyone i talk to says i have a good looking site and I should be picked up in SE's. Any help is appreciated.

If I am in the wrong queue please let me know. But I have seen my site under keywords such as diamond jewelry, diamond engagment ring, etc and at pages 6, and on, not high on the list but showing up. On Yahoo and Google I cant find my site under any search terms.

Also I have tried to follow all whitehat SEO techniques, and to be w3c complaint. Also have done my usability testing as well.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like your site. It has a clean, professional look, and the navigation seems completely reasonable.

I checked out your site's HTML code, to see if maybe something in there could be affecting your site ranking.

I spotted this:"<input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" value="dDwtMTcxMzMwMTgwODt0PDtsPGk8MT47aTwzPjtpPDU +O2k..."

The text goes on and on. There are PAGES of seemingly random-characters.

I'd never seen something quite like it, frankly. I called in the company President (who's heavily involved with web development) and asked him if he knew what it was. He didn't know, either, but he was sure it's causing your search engine woes, at least in part.

What's the purpose of the massive block of text? All your other HTML looks fine, but the massive block of characters looks really unnatural. Eliminating it may make your site friendlier to search engines.
