End of March, 2006 Yahoo Update
I am noticing some changes in the search engine index, was there an update?

According to their Weather Report (posted 3/28) it happened over this past weekend, but so far I haven't seen any significant changes.

The only way I would care if Yahoo updated is if they got rid of some of the spam. And it looks like they did not get rid of any of the SPAM in their index... too bad.
Searching Yahoo is a waste of time and effort, IMO. |

yahoo results confusing
At the end of the day I get 20% of my traffic from Yahoo... and it's targeted and free so I can't complain, but attempting to figure out their actual ranking algorithm and what specifically works well...in some industries I fair well and others I can't get on the map.

That's reassuring - as of about 3 weeks ago, Yahoo! absolutely loves all of my sites. I think I'm getting more Yahoo! traffic now than from any other engine! Previous to this I never had any luck there, where MSN and Google always performed great. I'm interested to try to learn what was actually done; I don't believe my pages are at all spammy, and a lot of the pages that were above me are, so they must be doing something right.
