Google's 'Sponsored Links' Renamed 'Ads'
Google is rolling out a change to its search ads on all English language domains, Search Engine Land reports. “Sponsored links” will now simply be known as “Ads.”
A Google spokesperson said this will roll out to more languages in the future.

And here’s a new screenshot with the same search, showing “Ads”:
The “Sponsored Links” name dates all the way back to the beginning of AdWords in October 2000.
