Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

hi,
i have a new blog on which i have been posting unique useful content regularly. Google has indexed all the pages but cached only one. What does this mean? Can anyone explain?

Re: Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

Caching may be slower than indexing on a new site. Chances are that google has a snapshot of the pages but has not updated it's cache yet. Be patient. OTOH you could have a nocache meta tag that you are not aware of, check your code.

Re: Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

I'm not sure there is any way to block caching in robots.txt. But hey, teach me something ;-)

http://ocaoimh.ie/wp-super-cache/

This is the plugin i have installed to reduce server load. Can this be the reason? If yes then do i need to deactivate it for better SEO?

Re: Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

I check for it... seems many php cms have a cache directory and it is recommended to disallow in the robots.txt file - I just get them to rename the file and remove that - it is just superstition - but you never know when a spider does things a little off

Re: Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

I know that Google produce results by keeping indexes of webpages, but how do these differ from their cache (which is an older version of the page). Does Google have an Index AND a cache?

Re: Indexed But Not Cached - Help?

The index sorts keywords, links etc... the cache is the content of the page
