Link Exchange Under Estimated

People use to talk about building links through different manners. I want to know that why link exchange has been under estimated. Is the worth of link exchange is not the same which it was in the past..What is the actual reason of not focusing on. I do survey that lot of SEO company who are offering SEO services not include link exchange in there SEO services or SEO packages.

Link exchanges pretty much negate each other and if done in excess can be detrimental - but quality sites will have an impact

Link Exchange is not as easy as it looks. It needs more time and efforts on analysis because you are giving a link back and that should not be a bad site/ip. Looking at this many go for one way with their decent quality directories.

But a real quality link exchange partner worth

link exchange can be detrimental only if done improperly... i believe if you are doing link exchange with relevant site it be very helpful... Google loves relevant links and gives more weight to this links...
