Here's 2 thoughts for you:
1. We have some content sites with a page of links to other sites. This is quite common for many sites. When I do a Google query site:<sitename.com>, every page in the site has been stored except for the sponsors and links pages. 2. If I go to some of the sites that we link to, and do a link:<theirsitename.com>, our site in #1 doesn't show up. In both cases, there is no warning at the foot of the page about omitted results. So should we conclude that simply having a page of links on a site (even if it's called sponsors) is useless, EXCEPT for the marketing aspect whereby users who come along and may click on the links? Interesting, or did you know this already? |

Re: 'Links pages' on websites
I have seen many links pages dropped out, but also many are not. Try using site:www.example.com/specific-page.xyz and/or cache:www.example.com/specific-page.xyz to see if a specific page is included.

Here's an interesting article on the subject of links pages: jimboykin.com/what-a-links-page-should-not-look-like/
