Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
Directory submission is a very good way to get free traffic to any website , blog or affiliate landing page. However, it is better to submit site to directories manually.

Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
I've used two apps now, digixmas and some other one.. submitease or something.. They're good, but I'm wondering if this is effective for my SEO?

Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
can i be honest with all of you their are only a few directories worth even bothering submitting to. Directories have very little impact on driving traffic to your site period. Jerry West has some great information on what directories are worth submitting to and that list had fewer than 5 names on it.

Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
Hi,
if it is not worth submitting to directories I am just wondering how to build a couple of inbound links that are worth something. I have the example of a small site at the moment, 8 / 10 pages which features information on one service offered (online backup). Not much more to add there in terms of content. The service has nothing new so there is no way to have the site mentionned on news or blogs etc and there is virtually no directory in strict relation to this service, there does not even seem to be many for IT services. I am starting to wonder how can I get links to this site where directories are out of questions and link exchange is worthless? I have improved the content, meta tags, titles and alt tags and submitted to local directories and Dmoz, what's next for me to do in your opinion? I realise the Yahoo directory is good but it comes at a price when it comes to a small business. Quote:
Many thanks |

Hi,
I am not sure what you mean by "donating to charities". Quote:

Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
Hi,
Using software to submit sites can cause it to reject by engines ,as if you follow different providers they will submit your site each on there behalf and would be submitted many times to search engines and engines will reject your site so i believe manual submission....... ![]() |

Re: Directory submission tools, good or bad idea to use??
charity organizations have links to donators... the engines respect the effort of these sites and take the links as endorsements from serious source
