Amazing, but no AdWords

FYI:
The future of search? If so we need to find a way to include ads

Re: Amazing, but no AdWords

So far lots of hype with no substance.

They'll have to change their name from what sounds like a 70's progressive rock group to something an average dunce can spell...

Beyond that they'll have to validate their calculations by disclosing the sources of data they are derived from...

Which then begs the question, hey do they have the licensing to use that data?

I think the concept has been long in coming and will be quickly replicated by Google and others if it garners any success.

I can't wait for all the Wolframisms to come out...

Re: Amazing, but no AdWords

abbotsys, a funny and true short story:

I saw the subject line of this thread, and immediately opened it thinking that a long-trusted source was saying that 'AdWords was down'.

I think my hearbeat may have gone up twenty beats a minute for a short time there.

Back to normal now, however.

I have not had time to visit the site as of yet, but am looking forward to it.

Re: Amazing, but no AdWords

Definitely looks promising, but can it really be anything more than a niche engine? The fact that it works off structured data just seems too rigid.

The concept of a "search" engine (if you can call it that) computing is really fascinating.
