Hey all, just a quick question regarding linking and anchor text. If I want the homepage of a website to link for a competitive term, can I do deep linking to internal pages to help boost that keyword for the root domain? I understand that in an optimal situation I would link to the homepage with the preferred anchor text, but if it makes more sense for me to have a link to a deeper page, will the preferred text carry over onto the homepage and get the homepage to rank for the term?
