How many hours / week do you work (net time)?

I think unless you're self employed and charging by the hour, you're unlike to make significantly more money by working 10% more.

60+ each Monday-Friday, then maybe another 2 - 6 hours on the wekeends, depending on what's leftover from the week.

Sadly, this is actual work time, not "me on my own projects time", so my own projects seem to have dwindled.

When I travel my work week shortens, but that's mostly due to the time zones I tend to cross, and traveling West kills the day lookign East, so it knocks a couple hours off for me.

I really would have expected this to be the other way around. Isn't it more that..if you're self-employed and charge by the hour then working 10% more or less will make you pretty much exactly 10% more or less in income?

Whereas, if you work for a company, willing to work 10% more (or 20%..something like 50 or 60 hours instead of 40 or 50) might help you make significantly more, because it would enable you to get into positions higher up the hierarchy? or at least not hold you back (like saying "I'm not going to work more than 40/50 hours max, would)?
