Google not showing all 10 SearchResults

Has anyone noticed recently that google is only showing 8-9 actual search results for some keywords? I have seen this several times lately. It is like they have started to count Video Results and Shopping Results as part of the normal Web Results. Does anyone know if this is just a temporary glitch or is this in fact what they are migrating towards? Sure would seem to be a bad move if they started bumping web pages in favor of Video or SHopping Results.

I haven't observed any such problem.

This is been happening sometime back and the non-webpage results are considered as most relevant for users search. May be there can be improvement on results separation in near future.

In statistics, results do not become stable until a large enough sample is tested.

It depends on what you count as search results. Some search results are not all websites. Sometimes, images, videos and google local results are mixed in. Some search results pages look like there are only 6-8 listed web pages. Have seen this for a while. Google is experimenting with different search results and see what are the most relevant.
