I have always found Yahoo converts well and less expensively than Google for financial services
I know an SEO who's selling niche software online and has been saying how Google traffic doesn't even convert for him, but that he's getting the majority of his conversions/sales from Yahoo Search. Whenever the discussion comes up, everybody else says for them Google always converts better, but apparently that guy is in a niche where yahoo search converts better, too (just like financial services perhaps).

Re: Yahoo Search Engine Ranking Positions

funny how Yahoo is getting more compliments again - obviously the majority of traffic comes from Google but users of Yahoo are a different fit in my opinion - they are like the old AOL users - older audience who make use of the yahoo portal and thus are more niched and not as many are scattered searchers (given Google's broadening matching) - so they convert better

Re: Yahoo Search Engine Ranking Positions

He's pretty experienced in SEO and rather good with the tech stuff (he's running that forum & selling hosting, etc.)...him not checking that would be like me not checking whether I have unique page titles . Him not getting *any* sales from Google might be an exaggeration, though, but the topic was raised more than once over the last 2 years and his point basically always was that yahoo gives him a lot more sales than google in that niche despite g oogle delivering him more traffic.

Ill shoot you a message about the industry..
