Need Help Pricing PPC Services

hi all. I do ppc for my own websites, and I'm very slowly branching out to consulting. I looked online for some pricing tips, but everything I found looks old.

These are the 3 models I know about. From what I've read, I can use any of these depending on the client.

1. flat monthly management fee (additionally, client provides the $$$ for the cpc)
2. I take X percent of spend
3. I take X percent of revenue (if ecommerce site)

What I'd like to know, is what you would do in these scenarios, and what prices/percentages would you charge?

Scenario 1:
Client has a total budget of $6,000 a month. They want a few sites in this campaign - one is an ecommerce site selling low-price point products.

Scenario 2:
Client doesn't have a lot to spend - $1k to $3k per month, and does not have an ecommerce site. They are looking to drive leads.

How do I make this worth my while???

For me, I don't think that it's "worth my while" to take a portion of the revenue or spend unless you are closer to $20K/month PPC budget.

The way that I break it out is your Option 1. There is a monthly management fee and then a set up fee for each campaign (since you spend a lot of time during the setup phase).

If the client has a BIG budget or lots of campaigns to manage (higher maintenance), then I move them to a retainer model. They "buy" x number of hours a week from me at my "hourly" rate. Usually, 10 hours a week for PPC only.

Feel free to take a look at my site (see profile) to see how I explain it all. This has worked for me so far, but may be raising the rates again soon.

I agree. That's the way I've been doing lower-budgets.

It should be there now. I'm not sure of the exact link rules here, so the site is shaneekirkmarketing [dot] com

Let me know if you have more questions. I think that the PPC consulting potential is really large, so if you *try* you can probably be pretty successful.
