AdWords: Has Google lost its "Driving Wheel"

I don't know if this is true, but it's in todays NY Times..

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/05/bu...rnwvgFd4jdAsxw

If true, then perhaps the old folk song lyrics may be starting to apply to Google, "I feel like some old engine, lost my driving wheel". Is Google starting to show cracks in the facade? Thoughts?

Re: AdWords: Has Google lost its "Driving Wheel"

Unlike the web, that article was on the front page of this morning's print edition. Appears that you have to be very, very well off to afford Google day care.

Quote:
Google co-founder Sergey Brin said he had no sympathy for the parents, and that he was tired of “Googlers” who felt entitled to perks like “bottled water and M&Ms,” according to several people in the meeting.
Kind of strange coming from one of the folks who put outrageous perks in place in the first place.

Re: AdWords: Has Google lost its "Driving Wheel"

Google's Evil Plan

Index the world, or take it over?

Child care:If a child spends 45 hours a week with Google Day care who is indoctorating them at the childplex during the child's awake hours, and 34 hours/wk with the people that put her to bed... whose the parent?
Evil Concept: Any society can be changed through its youth in 2 generations.

Health Care:
Pull the most private and sensitive data an individual can have into one centralized location under control of Google.
Evil Concept: Confuse autocracy with freedom.

We're Watching:
Zero in down down down, right into the backyards of every American. So close and so clear are the pictures that you can see them sipping mint julip ice tea at their pool in "private". Now, hire a company to walk every street and take video and pictures of their front yards, their home and cars. Yes, lets invade personal privacy to the highest degree ever imagined and deem it all legal under public domain.
Evil Concept: Its Not Google Earth.. its Google's Earth.

Google's Evil Empire

We know every search query you have made over the past 10 years.
We know where you work
We have been teaching your child for the past 10 years
We have watched you and your home for the past 3 years
We have your medical records
We have every map and driving directions you have ever used
We have indexed every character of content you have ever posted on line.

We know more about you and your behaviors than you do...

But don't worry, we would never, NEVER use this against you, or to make a profit, we're the company that Does No Evil..

We're *sure* you'll agree.. Right?

Mooo hooo hooo hooo haaaa haaa haaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
