Google ranking XML files better than proper content

Hi,

I have found that Google is ranking tons of XML files better than our proper content. Do you recommend block all XML files (no sitemap) to see if Google can start ranking our pages instead of the XML files?

it couldn't hurt - submit sitemap through WMT

I have around 15k xml files already indexed. What tool do you recommend to remove those files as bulk?

I already added the robots but Google is still showing and ranking old xml files.

hello,

does your sitemap is ranking with specific keywords?
if yes than just don't give any kind of name to your site map
like
giftstoindia.xml that will create a problem

just use sitempa.xml
sitemap1.xml
