Old Email Still Creating Revenue?
Hi
Last week I created a custom report to find out which of my campaigns were driving revenue. My primary dimension was "campaign" and my secondary dimension was "medium". I wanted to find out how much revenue was generated by my email campaigns, so I typed in contains "email". In the campaign results was an email I sent out two months ago which had generated 18 visits and £250 revenue last week. How is this possible? I would not expect 18 people to still be opening up an email two months later. Are these sales just from people who originally opened up the email but are still being counted as coming from this campaign? If so how is the 30 day cookie coming into play here? I would be grateful if someone could clarify this for me. Many thanks Last edited by mwoolgar : 07-15-2012 at 04:33 AM. |

Re: Old Email Still Creating Revenue?
I could be that the email was received, but they just didn't open it until last week. Some people don't check their email every day.
Take a look at your opens--to see when people actually opened them. If that's the case, it could be that it took time to go through their email and finally read it.
