Content Advertising Tips
I've been sharing the results of my company's research into Content Advertising in my weekly Search Engine Watch column. But Google and Yahoo have created some intricate black boxes in their Content algorithms, so there are still mysteries lurking. Do you have a tip or best practice to share? Spill it.

Re: Content Advertising Tips
If anyone can share examples where you really found a way to match content of a site and creating keywords that then target well these kinds of pages... please, I would be interested to hear.

Re: Content Advertising Tips
Great article, folks still don't seem to get the relationship between group keywords and their page's keywords.

Re: Content Advertising Tips
The first thing you will need to do is choose a specific niche and collect a list of about 25 to 50 long tail keyword phrases consisting of between three and six words each. Its important to target long tail keyword phrases because they will have less competition and will be easier to achieve top rankings in the search engines. Then you need to set up a website and create one page for each keyword phrase on your list, so if you have 50 keyword phrases you would have 50 pages on your website (you can use a tool called X Site Pro to help you do this). Each page of your website should be optimized for each keyword phrase you are targeting by using articles that have the best keyword density.

Re: Content Advertising Tips
I've found that many other forms of targeting work better than contextual/content targeting. That being said, is there a way to target the right audience based on profiling your best customers and the sites they like to visit, rather than content about the thing you sell?

Re: Content Advertising Tips
Powerful website content is sometimes overlooked in favour of web design and online application development. While these are obviously very important factors to the success of your online business, so too is the value and the effectiveness of every inch of your website content. Combining all of the elements of design, development, and content, along with a powerful marketing mix you can create a profitable website that draws in visitors and then converts them to profitable and loyal customers as well as your greatest marketers.

Re: Content Advertising Tips
Content advertising on Facebook seems to break even for supporters and naysayers - guess that is same for most content/contextual ads - could this be because people just don't do it right?
