Links in Blog posts
If someone provides a link to you via a blog post on a blog that has a PR of say 4 or so. What happens after a week or so when that post slides off the homepage and is now on a page with no PR? I assume that link no longer has the same value, right?

Re: Links in Blog posts
A link in a blog is a link in a blog. Sure it may have some value but the debate on whether or not it retains the value after the post falls off of the front page is debatable. The important thing is to think if search engines didn't exist, would you still want a link from that blog? If you think along those lines then every link you get will be valuable.
