Promote insurance landing page through articles
Hi folks,
I would like to promote my Insurance Domain with targeted keywords auto insurance quotes, home insurance quotes and other combination of auto insurance keywords such as online auto insurance quotes, free auto insurance quotes, compare auto insurance etc.. As we all know promoting insurance domain is always a difficult and tricky, so to optimize my domain I have decided following techniques to Rank #1 in SE’s I do not have content on home and landing pages of my site and the design of my site do not allow having content on the pages, so I have decided to promote through articles, I have article section within my site where I have 50 articles on topic of auto insurance with all combination of related keywords, and I submit those articles to directory like ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, articledashboard.com, articlebiz.com and generate leads, I have optimized those articles and submitted to top article directories, now I am expecting those articles should rank top 10 positions in SE’s, the article pages link to the landing page, so the landing page will get into the top 10 also. So I would like to get feed back from expert SEO, will this strategy can work or should I change approach? Promoting article and rank them in top 10 results so that my linking landing page will also rank in top 10 positions!! If I search “online auto insurance quotes” in Google at present hardly I can find any articles pages of any sites in first 5 pages, mostly found domain pages or landing pages. Kindly Guide me further about the plan and strategy for promoting insurance domain Any help would be appreciated Thanks! |

Re: Promote insurance landing page through articles
I have had varying degrees of success using article distribution as a way to develop links. Most of my success has come on less competitive terms however. First thing to note is that you probably should not submit articles that already reside on your website. You really should submit unique content otherwise it is just duplicate content.
Another thing is that I would not expect an article that simply resides on any article directory without any inbound links will make it into the Top 10 for any competitive insurance related terms...perhaps some long tail terms might be feasible. I too am currently working on optimizing an insurance related site (not automotive) and much of our success has been through some directory submissions, good keyword rich title and then identifying reputable sources to get links from. Do some backlink analysis of the competition and see where their links are coming from. In insurance, you will need a lot of links and some very strong links as well to make a dent. At least that is from my experience. Article submissions can help, but it is just one of many tools that should be used...not a silver bullet |

are these links nofollowed? if so, anchor text power may not be passing to your site.

Re: Promote insurance landing page through articles
I really dont think the username is an issue when submitting the articles as much as the actual content of the article. If these articles already reside on your site, why not try and get the links directly to your site instead of posting the articles on other sites and getting links to them there? If you are going to link build may as well get those links directly to your site. You might also looks at some blogs as a way to possibly get links. If your articles are good, then you may be able to get some relevant blogs to link to you. From what I have seen a lot of insurance site are targeting blogs as a resource for links.
Insurance is very competitive. You will have to try a lot of different things. |
