Content Syndication
This seems to be a hot topic!
My question relates to posting articles on syndication sites. 1. We have two links in the 'about author' paragraph, with selected keyword anchor text linking back to our homepage - is this correct, or should it link to the landing page related to the topic of the article? 2. I understand that we don't have much control to how many times the article is downloaded, but when do search engines start considering this as duplicate content? If an article is downloaded and used 50 times, will it be considered spam? 3. Should we limit ourselves to eg 5 top syndication sites? Our content and links are comprehensive and relevant and of non spamming non scamming nature, Hope someone can add a bit of clarity for me thanks Vicci |

Re: Content Syndication
1. Take the link to the topic page, use good, related link text.
2. The only pages that would be subject to a dupe content filter are those on the publishers' sites. As long as you don't publish the same content on your site your good to go. 3. Not sure, I'd probably take the top whatever number are considered best or have the most reach just to minimize workload or keeping track of things down. |
