I've been thinking of ways to drive traffic to my site (besides paid search marketing) and would love someone to do a quick SEO score card on my site www.remlor.com and provide some suggestions as to how you'd make a niche site like ours more SE friendly, and drive more traffic. Thanks!

Re: Anyone willing to take a look at my site?
I would say find some home improvement sites, join them and post on them and maybe even buy some ads. You need some more linkbacks as well. give this a read. http://www.capitalistcookbook.com/20...traffic-story/
I revamped it. Some good info there and might give you some more ideas. Chris |

Re: Anyone willing to take a look at my site?
Madness, Madness, Madness.
You have removed your Et's from your HTML but nothing else, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? You have some JS external and some not, WHY? I imagine some of it's down to what you can get out of it. Without seeing and testing for myself I can not say. Think about the above few lines and you should get this. ![]() Sorry but to me that is madness you are on the right track and then you stray. Just move back to the not so followed path. You have been doing some pretty advanced stuff, I will give you credit for that defiantly. Good job but why o why just them? Think outside the box and I have hopefully clued you in more to what you can achieve if you think about your techniques you have used so far and apply them more widely - think wide you have only just scratched the surface, and you will be amazed at what is possible! Getting back to SEO and away from programming - Heres 3 words you may want to think about as well - Content, Content, Content. Yeah you don't have any, add some. Turn images off and see how much alt text you get - more than your home page's content that is, not good mate. Then move to a CSS based layout to cut your code bloat down. Madness.... Aussie nice tool I will have to check it from time to time. Jaza Last edited by Jazajay : 02-29-2008 at 10:49 AM. Reason: Odd word here and there |

Please don't take what I say here personally. First If your buying Clicks, for sure your running a losing campaign your clicks would be to costly. I would like to say you have a great looking site to the human eye, but to a Google spider there’s nothing there to eat. You need some onsite SEO For instance keyword content, lots of content the more the better. Your keyword phrase seems to be more for branding your site instead of generating some natural search engine traffic. Look for some high search volume keywords that are related to your sites niche, but keywords that have low competition for use. Keyword phrases are often the words to go for. When you have found your key words or phrases to use put them in your content, your title tag, as well as description and keyword tags. Ideally you should have these keywords in your alt and header tags, also use of bold text on some of those keywords. Some other things you could do are using your best key word or phrase in the very start of your page on the upper left hand side, As well as at the end. If you have any java script in your sites, it may get those little spiders confused and they may leave before they had a chance to do there job. When doing your offsite SEO try and use your keywords and related words in the hypertext for your links, remember to mix it up so the engines are smiling. There are many other things you can do but this will get you handy page one on Google. |
