omcap-ses-berlinAttention German search marketers: get ready for a real treat this October. The ever popular SES Berlin Is running in conjunction with Germany’s other popular search and social event, OMCap 2011.

Both shows have attracted the Berlin audience at different times of the year, so it just made sense to partner up and give the audience a double helping of search and social marketing education at the same time. This one-day event is crammed with the latest marketing intelligence in search and social presented by the elite of the German online marketing community.

And, for the first time at an SES event, yours truly has been invited to keynote with a dip into the evolution of information retrieval on the web and search marketing, and also peek into the crystal ball to see how search is changing with the ever connected consumer.

As you’d expect with such a prestigious gathering, the conference agenda features the thought leaders and world-class practitioners that both events are renowned for. OMCap founder Andre Alpar is delighted that we’re able to present this event together.

“We are very happy that the German online marketing industry supports our fresh approach with broader topics and more diversified conference sessions,” Alpar said. “It’s a great opportunity to team up with the experienced conference veterans of SES.”

Other leading figures from the German search community include popular SES speakers Thomas Bindl and Marcus Tandler. Bindl is featured on the panel session Customer Journey: How Should I Assign Leads, Sales and Other Advertising Services? And Tandler takes a peek into his own crystal ball to discuss his thoughts on the subject of Search 2012: What Happens Next?

Of course, there’s the usual sprinkling of discussion regarding tactics from the dark side with a black hat sessions such as, Black Hat: Current Methods of Black Hats – Sustainability and Weaknesses with Fabian Rossbacher and Fabian Brüssel, as well as Link Building: White Hat vs Black Hat with Dominik Wojcik and Maik Metzen.

And there are exclusive Bing checkup sessions too.

There’s great content for marketers, whether they’re SEO, PPC, or affiliates, and certainly a ton of best practice content on analytics and measuring success. Without a doubt, this year’s event will be hugely successful and certainly something to build on content-wise as this new partnership develops.

As you’d expect, as with all SES shows, networking plays vital part of the education and entertainment mix. So be sure to be present for the speed networking sessions as well as the wildly popular networking party.

I’m sincerely looking forward to catching up with everyone at SES Berlin, friends old and new. So be sure to be there and register right now
