SEO Creates Google+ “Share” Button For Websites

When Google+ launched, many were disappointed to discover that Google didn’t offer an option similar to Facebook or Twitter that allows you to socially share content from an external website. An SEO has come up with some helpful code to fix that.

SEO Alex Moss, who develops WordPress plugins, didn’t understand why there wasn’t an official WordPress plugin or code allowing people to share a URL to Google+ from outside of Google+.

“…As an SEO I’d want to make sure this was available immediately or at least used the +1 button somehow to add functionality to share the +1′d URL within Google+ for all/your circles to see,” Moss wrote in a guest post on State of Search

Moss has modified the Google +1 button and created gray and blue “share” buttons. To make the feature work, Moss modified the share URL from the Google+ mobile site.
