site A - sells clothes and footwear
site B - sells stationery

now I want to name site B with a new name and thereafter the old name shall no more exist.

both the sites, A and B, are doing good (page rank and organic traffic)

Practice - 1
- add all the existing 'site B' pages on site A with new content and
- redirect each site B page to the respective new page created on site A so as to utilize the importance of site B [page rank and traffic]

OR

Practice - 2
- redirect site B to site A; rather redirecting to an individual page

which one will be the best practice 1 or 2
