Looking for some feedback and thoughts. Our Yahoo referring traffic numbers used to be very good (2004) and in 2005 it was dismal. Yahoo does not seem to indexing our or crawling our sites. I'd rather avoid doing their Search Submit Express subscription and would rather stick to organic SE work. Do I have any options or should I just give in to their terms.
Any insight would be appreciated.

I've noticed this in the past for sites that I've worked on. I think there are two major factors in play here. First is the obvious potential influx of Search Submit Express customers in your websites market space. This would mean that your results are going to get pushed down in the results (regardless of Yahoo has claimed on this matter).
Second, there are some pretty big gaps developing between Yahoo and Google optimization techniques. In my experience, Yahoo seems to be more susceptible to dated and aggressive SEO tactics. This means that if you focus on Google, thus avoiding aggressive or dated tactics, then you are not as likely to do as well on Yahoo. This is especially the case for inbound links. There's some links out there I wouldn't want b/c of how they effect your Google rankings (ever hear of Google Bowling?), but those same links could conceivably do well for you on Yahoo. You may just simply not be aggressive enough for Yahoo to start indexing & ranking you well again.
That's my two cents....for whatever its worth.
