Hi, I'm new to SEW. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum it's the closest I could find to what I wanted to ask.

I believe I have a unique idea to draw people to my search engine (not yet launched). I do not want my own search technology and obviously have 0 visitors to my site, I would like to have a search engine powered by Yahoo or Google (or similar with PPC) but with 0 visitor this may be a problem. Can anyone tell me how to go about partnering with one of them? I have had a look around both their sites but can't really find what I want.

Plus does anyone know roughly what the revenue split would be?

Thanks

James

Hi James I am not sure if some of the larger engines would partner with you, I would imagine that Google would need a large number of searches to be carried out before they would enable you to use them.
Have you considered setting up a Meta search engine? It may be worth while looking at software like Nutch and a few others that are open source, that way you could index your own results.
