Those of you who use Yahoo News and My Yahoo (http://my.yahoo.com) might be interested in learning about a new feature.

+ Run your search using the Yahoo News (http://news.yahoo.com)database.

+ Notice the button labeled "Add Yahoo! News Search Results to My Yahoo!" on the right side (below the blue bar) of all Yahoo News result pages (http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news/?p=%22danny+sullivan%22&c=&ei=UTF-8&&datesort=1).

+ Clicking this button will import the search string onto your My Yahoo! page (using RSS). Then, as new material enters the database, the latest results for the query will appear on your My Yahoo! page in the "RSS Headlines" section. The url cannot be transported to other RSS agggregators*. Btw, the RSS portion of my Yahoo is still a beta release.

+ *Note: - Yahoo News search results available via RSS can be placed in any aggregator by using Jeremy Zawodny's Yahoo! News Search RSS URL Generator. (http://jeremy.zawodny.com/ynews-search-rss.php)

Remember that you can utilize any of the advanced search syntaxes available in Yahoo (i.e. Headline: or Location: with either service)

+ Rocket News a service that crawls about 11,000 sources offers a similar service where search urls are transportable to any RSS aggregator.
