Hi,

As you know the way to track links in GA is to tag them. The way a tagged href will loo like, is:

http://www.example.com/?utm_source=overture&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=springpromo

Well, very SEOd I would say :) . But of course you can simplify the above link like this:

http://www.example.com/?utm_id=2, usign utm_id hides and so you will have only one parameter to deal with, which Google say that is ok.

Question: Does Google started to index links with many parameters or does want to fool us?

Are you talking about PPC tracking links? If so, those should be excluded via robots.txt from getting indexed anyway. You don't want multiple URLs for the same content getting picked up by the search engines.

Yes Jill,
The PPC tracking links which can raise to several hundreds, maybe several thousands, in different variations, can be sometimes difficult to exclude(asuming that robots obey to rules :) ).
