I am looking for a turnkey search engine. I want an entire website, not just links on my site. Does google, yahoo, ask, or any body allow me to do that?
I want it because I speak Japanese and English and would like to customize the site. I want an entire search engine, not just a link on my page.
I would be willing to share the advertising revenue with the provider of the search results.

Alexa is beta testing this sort of service and charges to use their database. I think you have to be a US citizen to use it though.

Most major search engines have low query limits and draconian API rules, so many people just scrape their results to create meta search engines.

I am certain there have to be a good number of meta search engines scripts out there for cheap prices

http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Search_Engines/index.html

Lists 178 search engine scripts, writtin in php. Some have a cost, many are free. Your server will need to support php, and usually MySQL. If you are not familiar with installation, most scripts come with a readme, that details how to install them on your server.

Using one of these solutions frees you from relying on Google, Alexa, or others, and allows you to simply run your own.

FYI: bare in mind that most search engine scripts use a redirect link to the sites you are linking to, and not a direct link. This may not be what you are after, since the sites you link to will not get credit for the redirect link.

ie. the link is www.yoursite.com/redirect.php?site=xxx instead of www.xxxsite.com
