Okay, so we're looking to get old pages removed and new pages listed within yahoo. The crawler is visiting our site on a daily basis, but a number of new pages are not being indexed by yahoo and some old pages are not being removed by yahoo.
Anyone have any suggestions on encouraging Yahoo to reindex our pages with up to date information from our pages? Google seems to be doing this on a fairly consistent basis. We're making sure that there are numerous ways to get to each page including a site map for major pages within the site.
Another concern is PDF files on our site are coming up in Yahoo much higher than the HTML file that would be associated with the product.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so in response to all of the replies, i'll add some more questions that will hopefully spark some conversation.
I've been attempting to manually submit our html site map to yahoo, and I get a "timeout" error almost immediately upon hitting the submission button on that page. Does anyone have any ideas on how that works? Or why I'd get that error message? Here is the link I'm trying to submit.

Also, I'm looking at the Search Submit paid listings at Yahoo and wondered if anyone has any experience with these. While I like the idea of being updated every 48 hours, I'm wondering if they include linked pages within the domains as well in the updates or if they only update the specific URL you've paid for.
Kinda seems like I'm paying to move to the front of the pack, moving those of us that are "non-paying" submitters to the back of the line for page refresh and update. Any thoughts?

With paying for the 48-hours, it's only the URLs submitted and paid for that get the frequent crawls, the rest just wait their turn.

Are there any ways other than Search Submit to get your listings updated quickly by yahoo? I'm not sure why I'm more interested in spending $5,000 bucks plus click through fees to get great revenue from the yahoo program.
The main site I run will have approximately 400 pages when the core site is done. I'm interested in Yahoo listing all of these pages, and updating them when I make changes.
Google, updates and makes changes within 48-72 hours. Yahoo, takes forever! Or doesn't list at all. Any ideas on how to change that with Yahoo? Or should I simply ride the Google wave and bypass the 25% of the search market using Yahoo?
1. I've tried submitting our site map directly to Yahoo.
2. I've updated and added pages on a continuous basis, and google is indexing. Yahoo isn't.
3. We've never participated in spamming, link farms, or anything along those lines in our site.
4. I think the site is very clean for keywords and very well laid out for the search engines. Comments or suggestions always welcome.
What can we do to improve our Yahoo results?
