I returned yesterday from the most wonder-filled Christmas of my life. As I started catching up on my blog research and contemplated what I would write about yesterday - one of the 1st stories that jumped off the page at me was a blog from Shawn Collins. It was pretty good and reflected some of my feelings about affiliates and this industry of ours, so I wanted to share Shawn's blog with you in case you missed it on Christmas day.
Dear Santa -
I just wanted to thank you for giving new affiliates each year. I know some of my fellow affiliate managers don't respect and appreciate affiliates - some even regarding them as a necessary evil. But I know the truth - they are the cogs in the affiliate marketing machine...

I was reminded this holiday season of how very true it is that the more we give the more we receive and it was reinforced to me how important it is in business also to remember to "Pay it Forward". Some of the afiliates I work with know my business philosophy but I would just like to say it again. I don't work for my clients, the merchants that pay me. I work for you - the affiliates! Let me know how I can help you reach even greater levels of success in 2006. It's almost here!
