Hi all,

During Jagger or even after jagger I had so many secondary pages get whacked but the majority of these pages were fairly new and were probably all less than 5 months old.

Does anybody have any thoughts on the aging factor for individual pages? We all have heard how Google will hold a new site back for up to a year or so for all but the most obscure keywords. Could this be true for single pages? Could this be one answer to why many folks have complained that so many 2nd level pages got hit hard?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

So far, not in my experience. Now, new links, on the other hand...

Yes I recently read that there is an aging delay on links which brings me to another question -
Do you think it does any good to link to second level directories or pages or should a back-link just point to one's homepage?
In an effort to help get some more play back to my second level pages that were hit so hard after jagger I have been getting links to some of my more inportant individual pages instead of my home page and I really don't know if I am benefitting from it.

Thanks Joe
