What are current opinions as to the value of IBLs from quality articles that are contributed through article libraries and then picked up by those using such for content? I've got a customer who is intent on doing so, has far better than the usual fair of articles to contribute, and obviously does not mind his work being out there.

I understand the duplicate issue as does he, and of course that doesn't matter. These have been around long enough that he's not worried about being rolled. He just wants the incoming links.

Would there be any difference in the value of links when the article has been identified as a duplicate vs. one that is somehow missed being a duplicate?

Hi Papadoc - This has been discussed several times recently...

When is it ok to duplicate your own content?

My post (msg #5) addresses your question and also refers to an earlier post of mine which discusses it at greater length.

I'd hate to chance losing a solo link credit from a good site on a page that I'd custom crafted. My approach would be to substantially revise the article or write a new one if the linking possibility was good enough. I would never duplicate content from my own site.
