Earlier I started a new thread in the "Multilingual Search Markets & Non-US Engines" forum, mentioning a major Israeli portal that outdid Google by offering a 1 GB / free / English / Web based email / to everyone in the world. I think that this is an interesting piece of information. Don't you? In case anyone wonders, I am not affiliated with that Israeli portal in any way (but I do live in Israel, so I am being patriotic in a way.)
For some reason my earlier post was removed. Maybe it was posted in the wrong forum. Perhaps that thread sounded like a promotion to the moderator who deleted it
The moderator who removed my post had his/her reasons. As a forum member, the least I expect from him/her is a PM explaining to me... why was my post censored?

I have had a few of my own posts censored and I can tell you that the moderating team here is usually pretty quick with an explaination. If you have not got one yet they will likely send one soon.

rbester- sorry that we did not get to a PM in that case... we're all checking in quickly from SES>
Yes, we unfortunately thought the way that post was worded, it seemed like it was more about gmail than an actual multilingual search topic - and couldn't tell why the link to the portal was really relevant, so that would explain the confusion. my apologies.
if you can tell us more about that Isreal search engine in general and related topics for the language, that would be great, and we'd welcome more info.

Thanks for the replies.
I have found the following article which explains more:

Another interesting feature offered by Walla!Mail is the ability to allow communications in all major languages for both incoming and outgoing mail. Erez Philosoph, Deputy CEO of Walla! Communications and the technical mastermind behind Walla!Mail emphasized, "By allowing users to correspond in any language, we have made Walla!Mail a truly global experience."
