Google is increasingly answering some questions directly on the SERP, e.g. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=population+australia.
Ethics of this aside, they don't link to the site that is the source, they just provide a URL. I think that is unfair, as HTML was designed to allow credit to be explicitly passed, i.e. you can and should link directly to sources, not merely quote them.
I think the site should be linked to whenever Google doesn't provide traffic to a site they draw information from.
Does anyone else think this is unfair, or just me?
