Which free message board is best for SEO?

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows whether some free message boards are better for SEO than others.

Has anyone had good/bad SEO experience with various free forums?

My choice is largely between phpBB2 and SMF (as they're both ready to go on Fantastico) although I'd consider any other free ones.

I suppose I'm basically looking for the ones that are most likely to end up getting posts indexed...

phpbb is good if you use one of the mod_rewrite hacks to make the urls more 'friendly' but I presume you would still want to customize it anyway.. vbseo.com (http://vbseo.com) has something for vbulletin also (not free but looks good)

I think PhpBB actually has a "SEO" Mod out there that takes care of almost all the URL and title/keyword issues for you. I remember being surprisingly impressed when I checked it out a year ago.

make sure you update phpbb to the latest version....theres tons of spambots and script kiddies out there who will mess with it the second it gets indexed
