I used the Keyword Tool to analyze a URL and create the most relevant keywords to use. From there, I played with the Max bid and the got the lowest amount possible while still staying on the 1-3 estimated ad position.
I then went to the Traffic Estimator and used the same keywords and max bid amounts and got totally different results. The avg Position was 5.9 rather than 1-3. In order to get the same position with the traffic estimator, I needed to increase my max bid from 0.05 (avg cpc: 0.05) to $15.00 (avg cpc $4.77)
Am I reading this wrong? Why are they conflicting amounts? Which should I use as a guideline? I am assuming that the keyword tool is more accurate because it is based off the relevancy of the keyword on the landing page, but I would think that the amounts given by the traffic estimator would gain a higher positioning initially.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
