So I have a blog over at blogspot (http://eatstayplay.blogspot.com/) that I use to keep track of work and do some experimenting with the bots. I was goofing around, and tried optimizing my blog for the terms "Prescott, Arizona". It appears that googlebot has come to my site, because at the very top of the page, there are two adwords from G directed at Prescott Realtors. What I do not understand is...if G is so smart to put those keyword ads there, why can't I find my blog by doing a search for Prescott, Arizona blogspot eatstayplay (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&q=Prescott%2C+Arizona+blogspot+eatstayplay&btnG=Search)? Any idea how that is even possible? Did the Gbot decide that page was worthy of it's AdWords program, but not worthy enough to index? Or is there some sort of different mechanism for determining which ads G put at the top of my blog? The PR of the blog is zero.

Thought of this on the way home. It sure did index that blog incredibly fast - or that was just blind luck.

those ads are immediately displayed because blogger is part of the google network and google wants to make money from the blogs in exchange for the free hosting.

the ad partner bot is different than the normal googlebot
