I suggested my site to Open Directory Project (http://www.dmoz.com) 3 to 4 months ago. However, I still cannot find out my site in the index of dmoz.com. Can anyone tell me what should I do? Or what should I pay attention for the submission of dmoz.com
Many thanks,
Max :D

There is nothing you can do but wait... and wait.... and wait.... and... I think you get the picture. ;)
Some sites get included within a month or two while others could take years. Still many others are never indexed.

Submit and DO NOT WAIT.
What would you be waiting for? You should be spending every moment exploring all other opportunities for promotion - putting things on hold whild waiting for DMOZ is not a good idea. You either get in or you do not get in. The only thing that will help you is making sure your site is up and running at all times and nothing is under constuction, if an editor reviews your site when it is down, it might get a second chance, if under construction, it wil not.
A DMOZ link, while important to try for, and possibly slightly more important than any other single link, is certainly vastly overrated in importance.

I suspect you misunderstood David's useage of "wait, MD. I don't think he meant that everything should be put on hold until the site is listed.
To check if your site is listed, Max, do a search for its domain in DMOZ's search box. If it's listed, the result will show you where. You could occasionally look in the category you submitted it to, but sites are sometimes moved to other, more correct, categories, so you may never find it there.
macdesign is right - you shouldn't be concerned about it. Check up on it from time to time, but don't be concerned if it never gets listed.

When you search it's best to use abc.com not www.abc.com and leave out the http://
