A/B Split testing - spamming?

HI all,

could you please shed some light on this - I am interested to know if I use 2 pages (change the title only) and test 50%-50% - woudl this be considered as spamming by the spiders? and how do you go about testing your pages? is it by A/B split? or every month you make changes and go back to the old ones if you see a negative impact?

would be nice to understand how the whole process works

the test length probably largely depends on how much time you can devote to it and your volume.

most people use pay per click like Google AdWords to do split testing.

if you are split testing for organic SEO reasons then that depends on how frequently your page is getting spidered.
