So say I don't have a lot of liquid assests. I have a limited amount of time. IF I have to focus on just one SE for top KW performance, which one is the easiest?

I am not trying to get the top spot for a specific or popular keyword. I am trying to optimize each page of my site (20k+) for the specific name of the attraction. My site is mostly outdoor recreation, so on one page the kw will be "Something Lake" and the next will be "Jason's Trail". I truley believe that it will be easier for me to get hits from a backdoor, such as "Jackson Lake State Park" as opposed to trying to get hits on my index by sprinkling the kw "outdoor recreation" throughout the index. With that in mind, which SE shouild I focus on first - I am currently thinking Y - we are a new site, I do not have much for incoming links, and like mostly everyone else, I don't have the time to focus on learning the algorythm of G. If I can get top spots for my kw (which is the name of that generated page for that specific attracition) - then I can hook the potential traffic of this site - which means I can sell sponserships.

Any thoughts are much appriciated.

Yahoo! is easy to manipulate for non competitive terms just by structuring a page correctly

Google places more emphasis on linkage data but if your stuff is not that competitive it may not be hard to do well in both engines by marking up the page with the appropriate html configuration and keyword saturation
