Hi, I have a question for you guys. This is a new one I haven't seen before. One of my sites has had a PR5 for a long time with hundreds of backlinks. The site is clean as a whistle, no spamming and no shady tricks used. The last time the spider went by the home page lost all its PR, now it's 0. The rest of the pages in the site maintain their PR though. Google shows zero backlinks (it doesn't even show internal links and the site is about 50 pages large, all indexed and with PRs between 3 and 5). The home page nevertheless is still positioned number 1 with its target keywords and it gets the same average number of visitors a day as it did when it had PR5 a few days ago.
My questions are: Why could it have happened and why does it not affect the sites performance? And most importantly should I worry about it? I've seen unexplained fluctuations in backlinks and PR before but never something like this.
Thank you all!
