Nope - I'm not an affliate seller, and I haven't bought it yet either....but.. I was wondering if anyone has bought Search Automator (http://www.searchautomator.com/) - or what are your general opinions on it, please?

I think it's an excellent looking research tool, and enables finding content and info so much more easier.

Hello!

Thanks for starting a discussion about Search Automator.

Response to it, and what it can do, has been absolutely amazing!

My customer's say it best (100% authentic):

I'm better known as being Macromedia Press author, and developed Search Automator out of my need for the most awesome research tools for my own research/writing projects. Nothing out there satisfied what I needed.

I developed Search Automator to be very staight forward. What you can discover online is usually no more than just a click away. No dialog boxes and no fluff to slow you down. Just finding great content online that you never knew existed.

If you have any questions, I'm here to answer them.

Very soon, I have additional plans for this technology, not the least of which is Mini Search Automator:

I'd love to hear feedback.

All the best,

Derek

Derek - thanks for dropping by :)

One of the main questions I have is based on having browsed through the Search Automator forums and it is this:

Will there be a UK version being released?

I read on the forums that there might be some updates this month some time - will a UK version be one of those updates?

Personally I think it looks like a brilliant resource tool, and given the right version I'll take the plunge.

p.s. there's a 14 day trial version 1.0 available from Download.com - is that a full trial version, or is it limited?

Hello again,

In the next version of Search Automator, I plan on offering additional country-specific searches, but as a one-man shop, it would be next to impossible for me to create and support multiple localized versions.

The version of Download.com should be the full version that times out.

Thanks again for your interest in Search Automator.

All the best,

Derek

Thanks Derek

I'm sort of "informally" spreading the word about Search Automator :)

I suppose I could make it "tax deductible" as a "business asset" as well? ;)
