SEO/PPC Salary

Hi ::

I am looking for some insight regarding a position I am being offered for SEO & PPC Bid Specialist ... basically, compensation commission. I have been a SEO for quite a few (5) years. I also have experience with PPC and have worked with (not working for them) the major engines and a couple of the top SEO firms. The idea of commission strikes me as a little odd in this industry ... basically pay for performance. I have always been compensated from either a flat rate or per project. I would like to here what some others out there have to say regarding your experiences ...

I'd have to say no to commission payment. I do understand other SEO's work in this way and like it. To me, the value of what you do (SEO and PPC) is immediate to a website. I've been offered commission myself before and turned it down.

Thank you ... this is what I was hoping to hear ... commissions ... not for me, that i the reason I got out of sales years ago to begin with. Not to mention the base is very low, even though the commission structure is very high. I do not need more stress in my life anyways

telNform, you also have five years experience in SEO/SEM, that's quite a bit of time in our field. No matter what you choose to do, value your experience and expertise. Anyone requiring your SEO/SEM services should do the same.
