If the other boards are any indication this one is going to get a heavy workout.
I will start the ball rolling by asking how many people use or do not use content search... let's get an overview

Not a big fan.

I use it in some of the campaigns that work specially well as a last resort to get more volume. You know it's never gonna work like search, but sometimes they bring some valuable extra clicks.

I see the images ads as a sign that even Google wants to give people using content as many options as possible so they stay there... or keep giving it another shot...

I have not used it on a large scale, but for me the click prices seem to be about the same or sometimes slightly higher than the price of the ads on Google when I did use it. (I need to separate content out into its own ad group and bid lower)

for the most part content ads seemed to primarily add cost and little return to my campaigns. they probably do have some good branding effect, but that is hard to measure using ROI as a yardstick.

I usually do not suggest that my clients take part in content search. While I havent seen anything conclusive, I believe the clicks from content sites arent as high a quality, not to mention my clients may not want their ads appearing on some sites. However, if your clients are looking for branding and want to reach as many people as possible and is stressing impressions and visits as opposed to conversion, I would have to consider using content search.

Makes better sense with the image ad... a banner by any other name still works so weak... adding mapped areas and some text links in the image and maybe it is viable.
