Hey kids,

I sure do appreciate all of you hanging around here so we can learn from each other.

My site is retroradar.com

when I do a seach on google for the text it comes back with pages that have the "www.retroradar.com" on them, but those smae pages actually also contain a hyper link to retroradar.com. Google does not show ANY back links though.

I dont get it.

Thanks craig

I see what you mean, your page also shows PR 0 in my tool bar, yet doing a search on you URL in the section that Google has "contains terms" shows a listing with a PR 6 page as number one......

strange, wish i could help but can see why its happening, have you checked your logs to see if GoogleBOT has been by lately ?

Cheers

The Google backlinks tool is not accurate and has not been for a long time. Therefore it will not always show 'every' backlink that could exist although Google still very likely knows about them and recognizes them.

Greetings hep2djive and welcome to the Search Engine Watch Forums. I'm guessing that the site is still fairly new because in the Yahoo cache (http://216.109.117.135/search/cache?p=www.retroradar.com&ei=UTF-8&cop=mss&u=www.retroradar.com/&w=os%3Aretroradar.com+wu%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fretroradar .com%2F&d=42E6F5F296&icp=1) you are still showing up as a vDeck site.

The Atomic Mag site that you have links from has been crawled by Google because your link is showing up in the Google cache of that site but most likely those links have not yet been factored into your own PR value.

Just give it a little bit more time and work on getting other links to your site to help speed along the proccess.
