Over the weekend I ran a search for the "flaxen hair" (the Debussey composition) and on the result page I got 5 results for "flaxen hair" then a horizontal rule and then the header "See results for "scud missle", then 3 results for scud missle related pages. Then another horizontal rule and the flaxen hair results continued. Has anyone else noticed this anomaly? Perhaps Google is testing and new 'related searches' module similar to Teoma? Or maybe its a bug? Or maybe this is a test for for placing sponsored results in the middle of serps? As of this morning (9/19)the search still pulls the scud missle results.

Its a fairly new thing they are testing out over the past month or two.

What do you mean by "new thing" - is it some way of letting a searcher see results to a related query - or to a query that Google thinks is related to the original query?

It's odd because it's not obvious - how is "flaxen hair" related to "scud missiles", other than the fact that there are some web pages that mention both terms? Does this mean that if someone did a query on "chocolate milk" that Google might also return search results for a query on "red pencils" because there are a lot of pages that have both terms in them?

I can safely say that that's the most ridiculous set of search results I've ever seen in any engine. The scud stuff doesn't show when "flaxen hair" is surrounded by quotes, or when either of the words are searched on their own, so how do scud missiles get in there? Ridiculous.

You never know what G knows, 'Flaxen Hair" may well have been the Iraqi code-word for targeting the Scuds to East Anglia in the recent conflict.

Takes "collateral damage" in Google serps to a new level. ;) Truly bizarre.
