How do I check if the new host I want to migrate to, has been banned from the SE's. It is a big name host.

I found that this particular host serves adult sites "as long as they adhere to California statutes." The adult sites reside on the same server as all websites.

Could this hurt my site from an optimization standpoint, can google and the others sniff out adult hosts? Is spam the main concern here?

Also, like many the host offers "add domain feature" however if I have multiple domains, they would all share the same IP. Isn't this dangerous -- especially if they have a couple of cross-links? (which is why I've always maintained seperate hosts for separate domains)

If your worried about the adult hosting being shared or set up in away you dont like I would recommend you ask the hosting company for a seperate c-block all together, this is becoming quite common.

Also becareful if you are adding portals on the string of IP as well, cross-linking with multiple domains on the same area is noticable and doesnt help any links for weight

seperate c-block

What is this?

It is the third digit set in your IP address ... example 125.36.65.50

You can have the host company ensure you IP will be safe and not affected if the C-block is set correctly and not attached to the adult sites

I've checked -- they can't give me a different C Block.

They say they have no control over the IP numbers that are issued.

They have adult and non-adult sites all mixed together.

Best they could do is give me a dedicated IP. This is Lunarpages.

Problem is, everything else looks so good including their service. They have everything I need except for formmail script.

Could anyone recommend a decent, non-adult host???? Been looking for days.
